In the baroque heart of Dresden lies the jewel of a five star hotel, the Radisson SAS Gewandhaus Hotel. Originally built as a warehouse in 1770, the historic Gewandhuas was reduced to rubble due to heavy bombing in 1945. Rebuilt in the 60s as a hotel, this remarkable building became a five star Radisson SAS Hotel in 1997. The hotel is beautiful designed and has a spacious glass-domed inner court that forms the centre of the hotel with the restaurant, bar, lobby lounge, an open fireplace and conference rooms around it.
